MG Extender Ute coming to Pakistan?

MG Extender Pakistan

The new 2021 MG Extender ute could be a new starter for Pakistan sooner or later, as hinted by the man currently promoting the brand in the country. It’s touted to compete against the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.

The dual-cab utility vehicle, based on the 2021 Maxus T90 in China, has already been unveiled in Thailand. A couple of photos of the ute was shared by the man himself Javed Afridi. He shared the photos with just a simple teasing line ‘MG EXTENDER “BEAST”’ on his social handle.

Just like before, Afridi didn’t mention anything specific about an official availability of the truck in the country. He just teased the fans with what usually leads the public to take as a hint as if the vehicle is supposed to be launched in the country.

The 2021 MG Extender is designed as a right-hand-drive variant of Maxus T90 and recently launched in Thailand. Also expected to be launched in Australia for the first time, the MG Extender has the only factor to be available in Pakistan. That is being shared in photos by the Peshawar Zalmi owner. Right now there is no other factor of any mean.

With the two 2 wheel drive (2WD) and one 4 wheel drive (4WD) models, the MG Extender is powered by a diesel 2.0L 4-cylinders DOHC 16 valve turbo intercooler. Max power is 119kW and max torque is 375Nm (1500-2400rpm). The twin-turbo mill offers 160kW and 500Nm along with an eight-speed ZF automatic.

The Grand D model, one of the 2WD variants, has a 6-speed manual gear system. The other 2WD Grand X and the 4WD Grand X models offer 6-speed automatic gear system.

Grand D comes in the only black with fabric material, while the Grand X models come in 2-tone brown/black color with leather and synthetic material.
