- A member interested in Imran Khan & Army Chief audios ready to pay 190 BTC
- The leaked conversation may contain the audios of both the Ex PM and the Army Chief
The recently leaked audio clips of PM Shehbaz Sharif with his niece Maryam Nawaz, his principal secretory, and his second tier leadership has stirred up the state. Not only the government, which is directly hit by the content in those audio clips, the only opposition party PTI has also raised questions over the security of the Prime Minister office.
It all began on September 25 when the social media started trending with the subject. But audios being linked were present on the internet for over a month already when an indishell named user started a thread on Breached forums – one of the popular dark web communities.
The user, indishell, provided three sample audio files on September 3rd 2022, the audio clips that are currently in trend, as a trust token for what he claims as total of 8GB of audio content split into 100 plus files which is up for grab in a bid starting from 180 BTC. That is around USD 3.4 million or PKR 808 million at the time of writing.
While covering the story and digging further into details, we found that the same forum user had first started an introductory thread about the leaked data on August 20, 2022. However, in that thread, the user only introduced the leaked data to the community with no sample files included.
Other community members asked about the details, content and the people involved in those conversations. Of course it’s political matter and every other political party or their followers would want bad for each other. Members certainly asked about which PM it is and if the army chief is in there in conversations?
Interestingly, indishell, answered both of the important questions in positive.
To the first question where the member asked which Pakistani PM? the user answered as follows
“Present and Ex PM”
To the second question about if it includes the audio conversations with the army chief, indishell answered
“YES. This details is highly classified only told to higher bidder”
It’s worth noting that the user, indishell, has not shared any audio sample of the Ex Prime Minister Imran Khan or a sample conversation with the Army Chief. Right now, what we hear in the three leaked audio files is the conversation between the present PM Shehbaz Sharif talking to three different people as mentioned above.
However, reviewing through the relevant threads on the Breached forums, it seems most of the members have just signed up after the audio clips got viral on social media. Many seems interested in more samples while others are more interested to figure if the data contains the audio of the people of their opposite party.
One new member offered 190 BTC if the data contained the audios of Ex PM Imran Khan and the Army Chief. That member is even interested to catch on other files and database if the user have them, allowing him to decide in two days.
You can’t tell the members belong to where and what their purposes could be to buy such a stuff. However, you can assume what they are more interested in by looking at their demands and wishes.
